Scholarships & Financial Aid

  • The Huntsville Youth Orchestra provides the Gerhart Scholarship Competition to support HYO students participating in summer music festivals and camps every year. This scholarship can be used for TVMF or any other music camp of choice. To learn more, visit our Scholarships & Competitions page.

  • The purpose of the Ruth Cole Weber Scholarship is to assist and to encourage young music students in further study of their instruments. Students in grades 6 through 11 may apply for the annual scholarships. Scholarships are funded through donations to the Ruth Cole Weber Endowment Fund.

To learn more, visit the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra Guild’s website here.

Information will be sent out to current HYO students when available.

  • The HYO believes TVMF is a tremendously valuable and rewarding program for all participants. The HYO aims to keep fees low but we understand that they are still out of reach for some. The HYO believes participants should have access to a musical education and experiences such as TVMF and does not turn anyone away solely for financial reasons.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis but must be submitted by May 1 to be considered. Completed applications should be submitted as a PDF to taylor@hsvyo.org.
